About the event
Hey there. Â
A one-week climbing trip to Fontainebleau, France, including travel from the UK, camping accommodation, and a weeks climbing, as well as other activities to make a fantastic adventure.Â
Trip Duration: 1 week
Travel from the UK: The trip includes transport from the UK. It's important to note that Fontainebleau is located in northern France, so the journey may take the best part of the day. The Minibus will be starting from North Wales and traveling along the a5, M54, M6, M42, M40 and round London on its way to the tunnel. Â Pick up options will be available along that route. Â
Accommodation:
Camping: We will be based in the heart of the  forest in an amazing camp ground with a bar and a pool (subject to weather).   We will have a mess tent and a communeral space, but personal camping equipment required.
Catering:
- Self-Catered: This option allows you to prepare your own meals. It's a good choice if you have specific dietary preferences or enjoy cooking.
- Catered: If you prefer not to worry about cooking, you can opt for the catered option. Â Highly nutritious, balanced meals will be provided for you (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and you can enjoy the convenience of not having to cook.
Daily Schedule:
- Mornings: Start your day with a leisurely morning. You can choose to do morning yoga, have a slackline session, or simply relax with a coffee and croissant in the campground. This allows you to wake up properly and set a relaxed tone for the day.
- The Day: After the morning activities and breakfast, you'll head out to the climbing areas. The guides will select the sectors based on the weather and your group's climbing level. Â Enjoy climbing in the beautiful Fontainebleau forest or have some downtime to relax and soak in the natural surroundings. Â During bad weather or optional rest days, there will transport available to access other activities
- Evenings: Return to the base camp in the evening. You can have a stretching session, open a beer, or take a shower while the team prepares dinner.
- Dinner: In the French fashion, you'll dine together, enjoy wine, engage in conversation, and plan for the next day's climbing adventures. You can also play board games or watch a movie for entertainment.
Climbing Plan: The plan is to climb every day if the weather allows. Rest days can be arranged according to individual preferences and needs. This flexibility allows participants to rest when necessary and maximize their climbing experience.
